This account is a profit-generating account in which funds are invested for a fixed period ranging from just over a month to 24 months.
Funds are accepted by the Bank at a pre-agreed profit-sharing ratio. At maturity funds are available for withdrawal or can be reinvested for a further period of your choice.
By investing for longer periods you receive the benefits of a larger share of the profits generated.
The account is different in the sense that your money is placed in a pool together with investments from other investors. At the end of your investment period you share in the profits generated on a pro rata basis. The profit-sharing ratio is stipulated and agreed upon when you open your account with the Bank. At maturity you can withdraw or watch your money grow by reinvesting for a further period.
